Orange Food Week

Central NSW

This hilly, and sometimes mountainous, region boasts more wine regions than any other in the State, and is a large producer of cool climate fruit and vegetables. Celebrations of local food and wine abound. Orange, at the base of Mt Canobolas, has 'F.O.O.D Week' (April) and 'Orange Wine Week' (October). Mudgee holds it's 'Wine & Food Festival' in September, and Bathurst's 'Wine & Music Festival' is in March. The Hilltops area around the cherry town of Young entertains visitors during August with the 'Hilltops Cellar Door Lunches'. Nearby Cowra showcases local food and wine with 'Cork & Fork' in November.
