Coral Coast

This 1,000km long coastal region runs from Cervantes in the south to Exmouth in the north. Best known for it's marine life, reefs and spectacular scenery, it is also an agricultural powerhouse especially from it's longstanding pastoral and grain producers. Today the fruit and vegetable cultivation around Carnarvon and Geraldton in particular is big business. Carnarvon holds it's annual 'Gascoyne Food Festival' in August, and has the Gascoyne Growers Market each Saturday from May to October. The Geraldton-Greenough Farmers Market is the best place to discover the fresh local produce from around the Geraldton area.
