This region comprises an area within an approximate 100km radius of the city centre, and includes the Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Illawarra. Many regional events such as the five week long 'New South Wales Wine Festival (Feb-Mar) which holds various events throughout the State's wine regions, as well as the 'Sydney Cellar Door' in Hyde Park. The two day 'Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival' is in September, the 'Blackheath Autumn Wine Fair' in April, the 'Terrigal Food & Wine Fair' (June), the Central Coast 'Beer & Cider Festival' (June), and the 'Hawkesbury Food, Wine & Music Raceday' in October.
