Murray River Irrigation

The Murray NSW

The 'Mighty Murray' is the nation's most famous inland waterway, and in this food and wine region it meanders westwards over 700km from Jingellic, east of Albury, to the Victorian border at Mildura. This fertile valley includes the wine regions of Murray Darling and Perricoota. Most NSW river towns share festivals and events with their Victorian counterparts directly across the river. Albury-Wodonga has the Hume Murray Farmers Market, and the Perricoota wine region has the three day Echuca-Moama 'Riverboats Jazz, Wine & Food Festival' in February. Twin river towns of Corowa-Rutherglen, Euston-Robinvale and Buronga-Mildura share various food and wine promotions.
