The Peninsulas

The Peninsulas region consists of Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula. Eyre Peninsula is the larger of the two extending from Whyalla to the Western Austalia border, and contains one official wine region of Southern Eyre Peninsula. Port Lincoln is welll known for it's diverse wild and aquaculture seafood produce, including the oysters of nearby Coffin Bay. Aside from it's huge grain industry, the region produces gourmet meat, wines and olive oil.. The region hosts the annual 'Eyre Peninsula Farmer and Fisherman Market' in February. Yorke Peninsula has an enviable reputation for it's seafood and barley, an now boasts emerging artisan food and wine producers.
