Grandvewe Cheeses is Tasmania's only Sheep Milk Cheesery and located in the fertile Huon Valley at Birchs Bay overlooking the stunning D'Entrecasteaux Channel. It is a family run business producing certified organic cheese from East Friesland sheep. Winner of Champion Cheese of the Show RAS Awards 2012, and voted one of six finalists out of 6,000 Fine Food Producers of Australia 2012.

Cygnet Produce Trail

Cygnet is a lovely small village south of Hobart where 'natural' and 'sustainable' are words and practices truly woven into the fabric of local country life. This trail starts near Huonville, passes through Cygnet and finishes on the shores of Great Bay. Wine, mead, liqueurs, native pepperberries, saffron and sheep milk cheese. (Note that Tas-Saff saffron farm needs an appointment to visit)


Tasmanian Gourmet Cheese Trail

This trail takes you to some of the best cheese producers in Australia. For the cheese-lover this trail truly has an amazing variety for any palate...cow, goat, sheep...hard, soft, semi-hard...pasteurised, unpasteurised...and the impressive list just goes on. A specialty cream & butter producer is also included on the trail. Once you have picked up your favourite selections chances are that producer has an online store to replenish your home larder.
