Best of Barossa Wine & Food

This beautiful valley, with it's rich German heritage, has been a special place to grow things since the 1800s. Accumulated wisdom over the years resulted in knowledge of what crops did particularly well and those less so. Vines stood out for their particular affinity for this location, but other produce and animal raising also flourished. Six of the eight producers on this trail are winemakers which reflects the ancestry of the Barossa. The Maggie Beer's Farm shows what a wide range of produce is possible in this area. At Lyndoch you can appreciate how well lavender can be fused with everyday foods.
