Tas-Saff Saffron Farm

Tas-Saff (Tasmanian Saffron) was started by Terry and Nicky Noonan in 1991 on three acres of land overlooking the sea at Glaziers Bay. It is now a thriving commercial saffron producer and has developed a network of fifty growers throughout Australia. Saffron is a spice derived from the dried stigma of the flower of the saffron crocus, and is widely used as a seasoning and colouring agent. You can visit Tass-Saff by appointment to discover the process of growing fine quality Tasmanian saffron. The product is widely available in retail stores.
